At Dunkirk, we know and recognise how important it is to be represented. That is why we ensure that the books that we read to children celebrate the diversity in our school. The following books are read to the children either as part of their academic work, during PRIDE assemblies or during story time.

It allows kids to not only see themselves represented in the books they read but also helps them to gain an understanding and build empathy for characters and communities they might not identify with.
